About me…
Hello! I’m Jackie or ArtyJax! I create colourful, expressive art inspired by nature, the coast, and everyday moments. Whether it’s a calming coastal scene, a loose abstract, or a playful pet portrait, I love making art that connects with people and helps tie a room together. I’m especially passionate about using colour and texture to complement different interior styles and bring warmth and personality to a space.
I mainly work in acrylics – I love their boldness and flexibility – but I’m exciting to learn more about painting with oils!
I first picked up the paintbrush properly while living by the sea in Cornwall, where I fell in love with painting the ever-changing skies and water. Now based in Stratford-upon-Avon, I take inspiration from the River Avon, the local countryside, and the colourful characters (both human and furry!) I meet along the way.
My work includes seascapes, landscapes, abstracts, and portraits of people and pets – all designed to bring colour, warmth, and a touch of charm to your home.
